Upper Guštanj Castle (German: Schloss Guttenstein, Gutenstein, Guettenstain) stood on "Stražišče hill" or "Tičlerjev vrh" on the left bank of the Meža river in "Ravne na Koroškem", which was called "Guštanj" until 1952 when it acquired the status of a town. The castle was built in the first half of the 13th century by the bishops of Bamberg, and it was managed by the knights of Guštanj. The castle was demolished by the Hungarian king Matthias Corvinus in 1486 and finally abandoned at that time.
